Vocabulary words (1-6)

1. Courtliness:
     polite, refined, or elegant.
The woman treated her guests with courtliness.

2. Sedately:
    calm, quiet, or composed; undisturbed by passion or excitement.
The child walked sedately to the house.

3. Personable:
     (of a person) having a pleasant appearance and manner.
She was personable in her reception.

4.  Accrue:
    (of sums of money or benefits) be received by someone in regular or increasing amounts over time.
     Ex: Your wisdom will accrue with age.

5.  Malady:
    a disease or ailment.
     Ex: Mr. Johnson had an incurable malady.

6.  Entreaty:
     an earnest or humble request.

     Ex: She clasped her hands in an entreaty for pity.
